Arizona Water Protection Fund (AWPF) grant #00-111 of $228,701 to help improve riparian habitat along the lower San Pedro River using cooperative grazing management between the Nature Conservancy and the Double Check Ranch. The owner’s of the Double Check Ranch also held the grazing permit for the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest’s Lop Ear grazing allotment.
